Qualifications

Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college or university.  

A current and valid PA K-12 School Counselor Certificate through the Pennsylvania Department of Education.

Supervisor: Building Principal

Terms of Employment: Days of service, length of day, salaries and benefits as outlined in current collective bargaining agreement.

 

Summary Purpose of Positions

School Counselor provides counseling to students, assists in academic interventions, maintains student records, consults with parents and staff regarding students, faciitates the placement of students, coordinates standardized testing, supports the curriculum, and communicates with the parents and agencies regarding student matters. 

 

No supervisory activities will be assigned. 

 

Evaluation

Performance of this job will be evaluted by the building principal.
